ABOUT ME
For 20 years I was an industrial designer working in the U.S. Global Design center for Mizuno. There, I was an integral part of a team of engineers and industrial designers developing some of the world's most aspirational sporting goods.Â
Most of the equipment I helped design over the years became award winning products in various magazines and media. Golf clubs were also used by PGA TOUR professionals winning majors and other golf tournaments.
One of my strengths to the team was to demonstrate how the product could look cosmetically utilizing CGI. This helped reduce the number of iterations of real world samples, saving time, resources and money.
I transitioned to the business side in 2018. There, I managed multiple business units, including golf bags, gloves, golf balls, headwear and accessories. Even while in this roll, I continued to use my many talents to create visuals for the website and catalogs, showing off the technical features of the products. I also developed POP working with my skills to help communicate needs to the vendors.
Since I have experience on both sides of the development process, I know how to design products that meet target costs and understand how to enhance margin for maximum profit.
